Quick answers about buying, selling and keeping your money safe.
When you pay with escrow, your money goes to SecMart's payment partner (Paystack), not to the seller. The seller is only paid after you inspect the item at a Vault and confirm. If something is wrong, you can open a dispute and your money stays frozen until we decide.
Escrow adds a 3.5% fee to the item price, shown before you pay. Cash at Vault Point has a flat ₦500 fee and you pay the seller in cash at the station.
A Vault is a partner filling station used as a safe handoff point: lit around the clock and camera-monitored. Sellers drop items there, and buyers inspect and collect them there. No more meeting strangers on the roadside.
When the Vault agent scans your pickup code, your inspection window of 30 minutes starts. Check everything works before you scan the release code, because releasing the money to the seller can't be undone.
Escrow orders come with a 72-hour warranty. If you report a problem from your order inside that window, the seller's payout is frozen while we review. After 72 hours the money becomes the seller's to withdraw.
Yes, for escrow orders: cancel before the seller drops the item off for a full refund, or open a dispute if the item isn't as described. Cash at Vault Point and direct transfers are not protected. See our Escrow & refund policy for the details.
After the buyer confirms the item, your earnings are held for the 72-hour warranty and then move to your available balance. Withdraw to your bank account from the seller dashboard (minimum ₦1,000). Payouts are processed by our team.
It's the buyer's safety window. It protects honest sellers too, because it's what lets buyers trust a stranger enough to pay upfront. If no dispute is raised, the money becomes withdrawable automatically.
Real photos of the exact item you'll hand over, showing any scratches or faults. Buyers inspect at the Vault, so an honest listing means fewer disputes.
To buy, sell or withdraw you must confirm your email address. It keeps fake accounts out of the marketplace and lets us send you order updates. Use “Resend email” in the banner if you can't find the message.
No. A seller who asks you to pay outside SecMart is a red flag. Direct transfers have no verification, no refund and no dispute process, and SecMart can't help you recover that money.
